A shower cabin 120 x 80 cm is large, convenient to use and clean, spacious to accommodate large showerheads and columns, shelves and maybe even the Jacuzzi.
Measures of a large shower enclosure
The large shower enclosure has a length of at least 120 cm and a width of 80 cm. Starting from this measure the internal space is easily accessible, allows you to move easily and to mount the shower columns, even with hydromassage or showerheads of important size. It is possible to easily equip it with internal shelves without any encumbrance. If from a theoretical point of view, there is no dimensional limit regarding the depth or length of the shower enclosure, the height provides for precise limits that vary according to the thickness of the glass and the type of opening:
- for 4 mm glass, maximum recommended height 200 cm
- for 6 mm glass, maximum recommended height 220 cm
- for 8 mm glass, maximum recommended height 250 cm
Large shower enclosure: recommended openings
The large size of the shower enclosure makes it perfect for the walk-in solution with glass from 140 cm because, given the size, the water will be contained inside and the aesthetic aspect of airiness and cleanliness will be of considerable impact. To underline that often (always in the case of Relax) the walk-ins are modular therefore the door can be added also later, without intervening on the wall already installed.
A large shower enclosure can also use:
- the hinged door, recommended on the short side that usually reaches up to 100 cm, maximum width also for a hinged door because, for larger dimensions, the hinge would be burdened by too much weight; if the door will be on the long side, then it must be accompanied by a fixed panel
- the sliding door, which ensures maximum sealing of the shower enclosure to water leaks thanks to the lower profile, ranging from 1 cm to 3.5 cm; can be one or two doors with central openings
