Cleaning the shower enclosure
Proper cleaning of the shower enclosure prevents the shower enclosure from being damaged by the products used, be they cleaning products or body care products. We always recommend to dry the crystal after use, to avoid the formation of excess limestone.
Clean the limescale from the shower enclosure
In case the limestone has already formed, and therefore in presence of spots or white drops, there are two different solutions to use:
-
- Apply a soft cloth soaked in a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water or use a soft cloth or sponge dampened in a liquid detergent neutral
- Use a soft cloth or sponge dampened in a neutral liquid detergent
In both cases, rinsing of the crystal is recommended.
We do not recommend:
- All products that act specifically against limestone, in case you decide to proceed with the latter, we recommend to rinse with plenty of water at the end of cleaning operations.
- Use of aggressive or abrasive detergents, as well as products containing acetone or particular solvents
- Granular or paste products helps to preserve the physical integrity of the shower enclosure that will not be scratched by the latter
Descaling and cleaning treatment
Cleaning is also important in case the shower enclosure has a pre-applicated limescale treatment, in this case the operations are slightly different. The anti-scale treatment forms a protection on the surface that chemically binds to the glass, sealing it from dirt, limestone and impurities. To preserve and prolong the duration of the treatment it is recommended to always dry the shower enclosure after use with a squeegee spatula.
The care and maintenance of the treatment must always be carried out with products suitable for the purpose. Warm water and neutral soap applied with a soft sponge are more than enough for cleaning a shower enclosure with an anti-limescale treatment.
Avoid detergents in powder or abrasive media, acetone, bleach or solvents of various kinds.
